Yesterday I had two women ask me what my vision or my hope was for those participating in Remembrance. Both of those women jumped in - so I thought I would share my answer with you here.

The vision of Remembrance is unlike any other program because it’s process-oriented over goal-oriented.

I’m not a coach, I’m not promising any 10k months and I’m not going to tell you what you should do with your life.

Remembrance is a journey in learning how to walk the path instead of us all arriving at some specific future destination.

The result is a growing circle of women who trust there is enough time for them to slow down, get present, listen to themselves, discern what is true whilst building their courage & capacity to follow it.

I truly believe the medicine the world needs right now is to be found in women returning to a regulated, un-rushed relationship with themselves and the living world around them founded on love, truth, courage & creativity.

The women graduating Remembrance trust themselves and their process implicitly. They tend themselves, their nervous systems, their families & their communities.

They know they have medicine for the world & they are quiet enough to hear their intrinsic wisdom, humble enough to listen & bold enough to lead from that place even when it’s tough, because they will only create a life they can truly belong to.

They are living lives built on truth that feel like a a full heart & a nurturing home no matter how BIG or small they may appear on the outside.

The women of Remembrance are stewarding true eldership (no matter their age) and are committed to open-hearted, interconnected and regenerative living as they show others how to walk the path through both their humble & bold embodiment.

And so it is!

I wanted to share this example with you of what moving through challenging emotions CAN look like.

This isn’t the “right” way or the only way.. it’s just one way that is available to us.

This is a big piece of the “work” we do in Remembrance because one of the major factors that stops us experiencing, living and creating a life that is True for us is our fear of feeling the things that are inside of us.

So many of us are afraid of being in true relationship with the uncomfortable or even painful parts of ourselves.

Or if we do allow ourselves to go there, we get so caught up in the story of what that feeling means about us that it gets clogged in us further.

This is just one of the tools we cover in the program but it has been a HUGE one in helping me love myself through discomfort.

There is so much intelligence available to us if we can gently build a relationship with these parts of ourselves in a space of loving awareness, acceptance and non-judgment.

Do you seek distraction (also ok, it’s not always the appropriate time to sit with it)?
